In top news this week, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a bill Friday that prohibits steep reductions in local budgets for law enforcement, preventing "defund the police" efforts to redirect money to services such as mental health treatment or education.

And while e-scooters have exploded in popularity in recent years, a new study from the Light Electric Vehicle & Research Institute explains why putting riders on the same roads as cars without good infrastructure or clear rules has proven so dangerous.
