Dear Gov1 Subscriber,

Our top news story this week comes from San Bernadino, California, where Enrique Marquez Jr. was sentenced Friday to 20 years behind bars for supplying the weapons used in the 2015 terrorist shooting that left 14 people dead and 22 wounded. U.S. District Court Judge Jesus G. Bernal said he couldn't hold Marquez legally responsible for the 14 slayings.

Editorial Director Greg Friese also discusses the likelihood that your local government will be forced to implement furloughs to mitigate COVID-19 related budget shortfalls.
