Schools and military communities can win one of three $30K grants for healthy playground equipment through The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation.
The Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes is accepting applications for a chance to receive one of three grand prizes of $30,000 for new school or military community playground.
The purpose of the grant is to increase wellness opportunities for children in an effort to reduce childhood obesity.
Playworld is a partner of The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, which through its Together Counts™ Program, works directly with schools to develop strategies and implement solutions that increase physical activity and nutrition.
One grand prize winner of the Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes will be selected from all eligible entries, while the second will be awarded to a school that qualifies for the Title I Schoolwide Program. The third grand prize will go to a military base or installation.
In addition, three runners-up will receive $5,000 each in school wellness program prizes.
Applications are due March 24th.
